Want to keep your flowers pretty? Here’s some tips from FAFA to care your flower.
1. Place in cool area
Place your flowers in a cool room or shaded area. Avoid direct air-conditioning, direct sunlight, extreme heat, dust and ripening fruit. All of these conditions may make your flowers wilt faster.
2. Change water daily
Change the water once every 1-2 days ( Of course, if you are very hardworking, there is no problem changing the water every day! Remind everyone that the water temperature cannot be too high, just touch it with your hands and feel cool. )
3. Clean the vase
When changing the water, you can prepare a bottle brush to clean the vase. If the vase feels slippery to the touch, it means there are bacteria attached. You can feel it after washing.
4. Do not leave leaves in the water
When you receive the flowers, remember to remove the leaves below the water level and put them in the water, because the leaves are easy to rot and breed bacteria when soaked in water. Some plants with cilia on their flower stems, such as gerbera, sunflower…. are not suitable for putting too much water.
5. Remove wilting petals
When a flower begins to wilt, remove the petals or the whole flower . Flowers bloom and wilt at different times. Removing wilted flowers will help to avoid the spread of bacteria to the other flowers.
Do not spray water on the flowers
Do not spray water on the petals (especially to eustoma and roses), because the petals are easy to rot. Except for hydrangea, ginger lotus, and other flowers that need to be supplemented with water, because their petals have better drainage, and spray water will not cause rot.
